Anti-Aging

Miracle worker, time in a bottle, hope in a jar

This is completely random, but I got a magazine in the mail today for make-up and decided to look through it. I flipped to this page and was flabbergasted. I saw three items for anti-aging: hope in a jar, miracle worker, and time in a bottle. And in the corner it said for the first signs of aging. All I could think was that I age every second of everyday since conception.

We are suppose to age. If we were not supposed to get wrinkles then we wouldn’t. It’s as simple as that.

Society has literally made it impossible for a woman to ever fully be able to love herself. How are we suppose to grow up happily when “miracle worker, time in a bottle, and hope in a jar”are around to intimidate us to not look like ourselves? I seriously don’t understand.

It is horrible to see that “time in a bottle, miracle worker and hope in a jar” are trying to be sold to people. It is bad enough that it isn’t acceptable to look an older age, but do we really need a miracle worker? As if we didn’t already feel horrible about seeing wrinkles and aging spots. And in case you didn’t feel crappy here is some “hope in a jar” to soothe things for you. Ridiculous.

Not only homo sapiens, but every single creature and living organism on this earth ages. It is literally the process of life. Why should it be stopped or slowed down. Aging has been happening since the beginning of time and it is not about to stop anytime soon. It is important to look the age we are. I just needed to share this. The media has not only intimidated us to an inappropriate point, but has also have provided unrealistic ways of life. I will never use an anti-aging product to shape myself into what the media and society believes I should like!

Who is to blame? I don’t know. But we need to realize that some things won’t change and aging is one of those things. And we will just have to deal. Stay strong and stay true to yourself.
